Microsoft reveals New Xbox One Model at E3

Following the announcement of the new PS4 model Microsoft earlier today at the E3 event in Los Angeles showcased their latest Xbox model. The Xbox One S.

It’s a lot smaller than its predecessor with a “robot white” color scheme according to Microsoft. The Xbox One S includes a few other improvements with a 4K Ultra HD video support and HDR capabilities for both gaming and video. USB ports are in the front and the back. Although there isn’t a Kinect sensor port. If you want to hook up a Kinect for voice controls you’ll need a USB adaptor.
“The Xbox One S for us was a realization that first, we want to make a smaller Xbox, but there was also some capability that we saw growing out in the market around HDR and 4K video,” Xbox head Phil Spencer says of the new device. “So we said, if we’re going to do an upgrade to our console, let’s go ahead and embrace some of the technologies that are coming and make those part of our core SKU.”

The Xbox One S will come with a vertical stand and  be on sale this August for $299 with 500GB , and 1TB for $349.
