December 5 – 11, 2021 is National Influenza Vaccination Week. Have you gotten this year’s flu shot? Did you know that people with certain chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and heart disease are at higher risk of developing serious flu complications? A flu shot is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community from flu. What are you waiting for? There’s still time and time is of the essence!

Encourage your staff, residents, families and friends to get the flu shot this year (COVID-19 shot as well if that’s lacking).  You can download the above poster (larger sizes than 8.5×11 are found here) and place it in prominent places in your facility/community to help get the word out.  This CDC website has numerous resources, vaccination messages and activities you can use to share key flu information with your networks.
