David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of the smash hit HBO series “Game of Thrones,” have revealed how the whole thing will end.
But they didn’t do so in words. No, that would make things too easy. Instead, the two masterminds have done so through music.
Benioff and Weiss have created a Spotify playlist — “Game of Thrones: The End Is Coming” — which reportedly details how the series will end.
“The answer to the ending is one hundred percent hidden in the playlist choices,” Benioff and Weiss told For the Record in an email. “No one will believe us, but it’s true.”
So, finally, the answer to who will end up sitting on the Iron Throne has been (kind of) revealed. All you need to do is read between the lines — um, we mean listen between the lyrics — figure out the answer.

First off, let’s compliment the Benioff and Weiss for having great taste in music. Any playlist that includes Black Sabbath, Sigur Ros, Johnny Cash and Stiff Little Fingers is OK in our book.
The playlist kicks off with Rage Against the Machine’s “Sleep Now In the Fire,” which is a very strong way to start, and the fire reference makes us think of dragons and, thus, that the Mother of Dragons — Daenerys Targaryen — will end up sitting on the Iron Throne.
A bit later, we hear the great Bob Dylan/Johnny Cash number, “Girl From the North Country,” which changes our mind and makes us realize that a female Stark will end up victorious. So, our money is now on Sansa Stark.
Then comes on “Flugufrelsarinn,” by Sigur Ros, and we stop thinking about “Game of Thrones” altogether and just enjoy the music. So, nice ….
Oh, but then we are back to our original mission once we hear “Fire,” by Barns Courtney, which again has us thinking dragons and Daenerys.
That song is immediately followed by “Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea,” by MISSIO, which makes us realize that Aquaman and his army from Atlantis will arise victorious. (Oh, wait, never mind ….)
The playlist continues through the Grateful Dead’s “Dire Wolf” (advantage Stark family), Neil Young’s “Winterlong” (of course, a Jon Snow reference), “Toxicity” by System of a Down (a Cersei Lannister song, if we ever heard one) and, well, we’re confused.
