Itinerary Summary

It is a wonderful safari through Northern Tanzania’s most famous national parks and conservation areas. Explore and Game Drive in ecologically rich Lake Manyara National Park. Explore Serengeti one of the most celebrated ecosystem. Explore World Heritage listed Ngorongoro Crater and the Tarangire, a park of giant baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia parkland.

Itinerary by day

Day 1:Arrival in Arusha

Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), Tanzania. You will meet with our guide/driver waiting for you at the airport and pick you with private transfer to Arusha where we will gather in the evening for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check. We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance. Have dinner and stay Arusha for a night at East Africa Hotel.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning we will have breakfast at East African hotel in Arusha. Have a short safari briefing and after wards we depart for 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Your first experience of safari will be the thrilling game drive through the vastness of Tarangire National Park, arrive in good time for lunch. In the afternoon we will have game driving through the park followed by dinner and overnight at NsiyaTented Lodge or Tarangire Safari Lodge or Maramboi tented Camp.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park.

In the morning we will have early breakfast and then depart from Tarangire National Park and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Although small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the ground water forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the Soda Lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350 species of bird. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions. We dine and stay overnight at the charming Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or Ngorongoro Farm House or any other lodge of your choice.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park.

Have breakfast early in the morning and then leave the jungle of Lake Manyara National Park behind and start a new journey towards Serengeti National Park passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for a while in time and place to visit a Maasai village. Feel enriched with new insights and continue to the endless plains of Serengeti. After the games drive we will go to Serengeti Serena lodge or Katikati tented Camp or any other lodge/accommodation, though we highly recommend Katikati tented Camp, settle into the wild.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park Game Drive

Have breakfast early in the morning and we will have adventure continues with a full day game drive in order to discover more wonders of Serengeti. The presence of wildlife is manifested at each glance. Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometres of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. Serengeti is the one most famous for wildebeest migration. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat.  Return dusty to your lodge for dinner and the option to game drive at night before rest in your lodge/Tented Camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast it is time we departure from the Serengeti for an encore game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. At the top of the crater, the views of the caldera and the scattered animals below are breathtaking. We venture onto the crater floor for an up close view of this World Heritage Site, and enjoy a picnic lunch here. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game-viewing all year-round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons. We have our final dinner and around evening drive back to Arusha.
