Seeing that art, I’m left slack-jawed with wonder that guys like John Conway and Mark Witton can make the vast fortunes they do from palaeoart when it’s obvious any 3 year old can do it.

Amazingly, I was able to achieve this level of artistry using only the GIMP, a free PhotoShop-alike.

I just hope that this doesn’t instigate accusations of plagiarism / uncredited inspiration on your part, Mike! You’ve already stated that you were unaware of prior work (and that’s good enough for me) but perhaps it’s worth considering detailing the process that you went through when creating this unique piece? Hopefully it won’t take you any longer than it did to draw the picture in the first place.

Mike! I’m loving the awesome dino art. Now, I definitely feel encouraged to have a go myself.
However (a minor quibble!) I feel you have drawn T.rex with too many gill slits. I don’t think the gastralia were gill arches.
Otherwise, great!
