CorSera: Pioli optimistic he will have match-winner available for Spurs second leg

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is hoping to have a fully fit squad for the trip to face Spurs in midweek and that includes Brahim Diaz, a report claims.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report this morning that Diaz missed the away match in Florence due to a knee problem, which made him automatically doubtful also for the match against Tottenham on Wednesday night in the English capital.

Today’s training session at Milanello will be the decisive test to see if the Spaniard will be able to leave with his team-mates for the game tomorrow but there seems to be optimism at the moment.

The Real Madrid loanee was the player who decided the first leg at San Siro with his diving header from close range inside the opening 10 minutes and he would give Pioli an extra option in an attack where Charles De Ketelaere, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi continue to struggle.
