The good news this week is that we will see a few breaks in the oppressively hot temperatures that have had a stranglehold on the state for the past 7-10 days. That's not to say we don't have a few hot days in front of us though...

Castle Rock Colorado 5 day forecast

As you can see we kick off the week with a welcome cool day as temperatures will struggle to reach 70 degrees along the Palmer Divide. A cold front that moved through early Monday morning will keep low clouds and cooler air in place through the day on Monday.

The cooler conditions will be short lived though as we see 90's with dry conditions return for Tuesday and Wednesday.

By end of week, Thursday remains warm with a chance of storms ahead of another weather disturbance making its way through by Friday. That system will again cool us off and bring us a better chance of rain and thunderstorms.

Euro ensembles show a decent bit of moisture will be possible over the next few days.

Many models show anywhere between .5 to .75 inches of moisture possible across the Palmer Divide region in the next week or so. This is something we will have to watch for any changes, but it is certainly encouraging to see precipitation in the forecast given how dry our pattern has turned in June!
