In the 45th match of the IPL 2021, Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the match by 5 wickets with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to great performance in batting.
Earlier PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first thus, KKR first batted and made a challengeable score of 165/7 due to good batted by Venkatesh Iyer 67 (49), Rahul Tripathi 34 (26), and Nitish Rana 31 (18). Arshdeep Singh 3/32 (4), Ravi Bishnoi 2/22 (4), and Mohammad Shami 1/23 (4) were good bowled from the PBKS side.
Due to a great opening partnership of 70 runs in 8.5 overs between K.L. Rahul, and Mayank Agarwal, PBKS won the match by 5 wickets with KKR. K.L. Rahul 67 (55), Mayank Agarwal 40 (27), and Shahrukh Khan 22* (9) well batted from the PBKS side. Only Varun Chakravarthy 2/24 (4) good bowled from the KKR side. After winning this match, PBKS placed at the 5th position in the IPL 2021 points table with 10 points.
Due to his great performance in batting, K.L. Rahul (PBKS) 67 (55), was declared as the Player of the Match.
