The Ghana international winger left the spotlight of European football for Chinese football in 2017 after leaving Anderlecht in 2017 for Tianjin TEDA.
Acheampong – who reached the final of the 2015 AFCON with Ghana – scored 35 goals in 91 games for the Chinese side after three seasons. Shenzhen FC were impressed and have come for his signature.
In China, the Ghanaian winger is one of the most respected foreign players thanks to his top performances and goal contribution rate. 35 goals and 19 assists for a primary winger is excellent.
“Acheampong has excellent dribbling ability, fast speed, excellent mental quality, and good long-range shooting and passing ability.” the club said on Monday after announcing the deal.
Acheampong will be teaming up with fellow Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso who has also taken his club football to Shenzhen after his Jiangsu Suning side folded.
