Titans RB DeMarco Murray Has Third Degree MCL Tear

Adam Schefter reports that MRI tests revealed that Titans RB DeMarco Murray suffered a third degree MCL tear.

Schefter adds that Murray believes he can play through the injury.

Adam Schefter first reported that initial tests on Titans RB DeMarco Murray’s knee revealed that he has an LCL sprain, but the plan is for him to undergo an MRI today to confirm the severity of the injury.

According to Ian Rapoport, Murray is considered a long-shot to play in Week 17’s game based on the pain he was in last night.

Murray, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2011. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $25.5 million contract that included $12.5 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $6.25 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Murray has appeared in 15 games and rushed for 659 yards on 184 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with 39 receptions for 266 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns.
