Kittatinny Coalition Holding Listening Sessions

The Kittatinny Coalition has embarked on the development of a Strategic Plan to guide our work over the next five to ten years.  Toward this end, we continue to ask tough questions, listen, and learn from key stakeholders along the Ridge and Corridor – major land owners, municipalities, agencies, academic institutions, partner organizations and outdoor recreation enthusiasts and businesses, to name but a few.  Everyone’s input and wisdom is critical to our planning and preserving the integrity of the Ridge.

We invite you to attend one of three, professionally facilitated listening sessions, scheduled to engage and learn from those all along the Ridge.  We want to hear your perceptions of the Coalition, learn what you see as the greatest threats and opportunities facing the Ridge, and generate strategies and future activities for the Coalition to consider.

These sessions will be held as follows:

Tuesday, December 10th, 3:00-4:30 pm
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary
Acopian Center for Conservation Learning
410 Summer Valley Road
Orwigsburg, PA 17961

Wednesday, December 11th, 3:00-4:30 pm
Cumberland County Planning Department
310 Allen Road – Conference Room B
Carlisle, PA  17013

Thursday, December 12th, 3:00-4:30 pm
Lehigh Gap Nature Center
8844 Paint Mill Rd
Slatington, PA 18080

These sessions will be collaborative, interactive and fun and we expect passions for the Ridge and Corridor to be flowing!   We’ll have beverages and light snacks available to keep your energy flowing too.

Your input is very important to us.  We hope you can attend a session and if you can’t, we’d encourage you to extend this invite to others you may know who are invested in the health of the Ridge.

To help us in our organizing, please RSVP to Jeanne Ortiz no later than Friday, December 6th at jortiz@audubon.org or 215-519-5648.

Thanks for your consideration.  We hope you’ll join us!
