We have many people in our area who need prayers. Families who are hurting over the lost of loved ones…families of people suffering with sickness…let’s take this day as a day to pray for others.
Continue to pray for our schools …especially our leaders, teachers and students. The weekend and week has brought big changes for families…some started their first day of school to college. I was at Oxford this weekend for a wedding..but it was also “move in” day….and the city was busting with happy kids and stressed parents! Change in our lives…even if we don’t want them…hit us full force sometimes.
Bid day for the sororities at MSU was Saturday! Congratulations to Emily Crace who pledged Chi Omega; Gracie Knight pledged Phi Mu; and Audrey Stewart ADPhi! I am excited for these girls as they began a new chapter in their lives.
Magee and Simpson had successful Friday night scrimmage “Kick-offs”…the real thing (Friday night lights) greets us this week. Be in prayer for these young people as they work hard in this heat…very scary to me.
Happy Birthday to our Mayor Jimmy Clyde!
Please send your birthday wishes to Sue@mageenews.com!
Have a blessed Sunday.
Congratulations to Lacey Gray Stone and Brady Fortenberry.
Lacey Gray is my cousin…granddaughter of Jean Ross who grew
up in the home I now live in (my mother’s sister). Picture the Stone family of Tupelo
