New York rapper Safaree Samuels isn’t going repeat mode for “Chun-Li” or “Barbie Tingz.” The hip-hop artist has explained his disinterest in ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj‘s newest releases.

In a new interview, Safaree says Nicki’s new bangers haven’t won him over and explained why Cardi B‘s personality has her winning in 2018.

“There’s absolutely no relationship [with Nicki Minaj right now.] I would probably say, I feel like it’s so different in this business – two years [before getting over our breakup.] … With Cardi, people love her so much as a person, even if her music wasn’t as good as it is, it would have still been like, ‘Bravo. You did it.’ But in this day and age, your personality is 80 percent of you being an artist and your personal life. People in-tune with her personal life love her personality. [Nicki’s new music?] It’s just whatever. It’s not something I would listen to. I’m just being honest. I’m not being a hater or anything like that but I really don’t.” (“Big Boy TV”)
