Knox City Council to Meet Tonight

Amendments to the existing curfew ordinance for the City of Knox will be considered during tonight’s city council meeting at 7 p.m.

According to the council packet provided by administrative assistant Peggy Travis, the curfew ordinance currently in place was originally adopted in October of 1989.

City council members are also anticipated to receive a presentation from Starke County Economic Development Foundation Special Projects Coordinator Ron Gifford. As usual, a monthly progress report will be provided.

Additionally, The SCEDF will be hosting a community retreat later this month, where speakers will present information about grants and programs available for community development. It is likely that Gifford will also share some details about that event tonight.

Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston and Mayor Dennis Estok will share any necessary updates with council members. After those reports are delivered, there will be time set aside for citizen input and any additional business deemed necessary by the council.

Tonight’s meeting will be held at Knox City Hall located at 101 W. Washington St.
