Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity Wrangles Victory From Clearfield After Back-And-Forth Game

Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity and Clearfield played an exciting back-and-forth game that saw Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity coming away with a 10-9 victory. The game was tied at nine with Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Dylan Dann singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity collected ten hits and Clearfield had 14.

Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity took an early lead in the second inning. Zach Swanger drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the top of the fifth inning, Clearfield tied things up at eight when Rumsky singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity put up five runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity was led by Seth Shuey, Max Rogers, Swanger, and Dann, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Clearfield scored three runs in the fourth inning. Clearfield offense in the inning was led by Pretash, Rumsky, and Dixon, who all drove in runs.

Gavin Fravel led things off on the mound for Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity. The hurler allowed eight hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Rumsky was on the hill for Clearfield. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out one. Elensky and Gearhart entered the game from the bullpen, throwing five innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity tallied ten hits on the day. Rogers, Derek Fravel, and Dann each had multiple hits for Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity. Rogers led Bellefonte Red Raiders Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

Clearfield racked up 14 hits in the game. Dixon, Barr, Elensky, Rumsky, and Gearhart each managed multiple hits for Clearfield.
