My Valentine’s decor is still up and I won’t remove it, most likely, until the month is officially over. But I decided to get a jump start on St. Patty’s day. I’ve mentioned how much I love The Wood Connection before, right? They have beautiful frames there and I used some of my birthday money to snag a couple, including this fantastic circle frame.
I also found this gorgeous kraft wrapping paper in Target’s dollar section. When I see paper like that, I have a hard time using it to wrap a gift. It will just get tossed! I decided to use it on the frame. I traced and cut the paper after painting the frame black. The paper is pretty thin and I didn’t want to mess with it by using Modge Podge so I opted for my trusty wood glue instead. I sprayed it with some gloss sealer rather than topping it with Modge Podge. I haven’t had the best of luck with the stuff when using thin, delicate paper. To top it off, I created a chalkboard print to celebrate my ancestor’s holiday! I have two sizes I’m sharing-two are 5×5 (the one with circles is the one that I used for the frame) and the other is an 8×10.
