Police said the victim was found near East Andrews Drive and North Dillon Street Monday night after being shot near Berkeley Lake Park.
DENVER — Denver Police (DPD) have arrested a suspect in a shooting that happened Monday afternoon.
DPD said the shooting occurred near East 46th Avenue and Tennyson Street. That’s near Berkeley Lake Park.
Police said the victim was placed in a car and driven away. The victim’s body was found 14 driving miles away near East Andrews Drive and North Dillon Street.
The victim has not yet been identified by the medical examiner’s office.
Police announced Wednesday they had arrested 22-year-old Miguel Piria Wednesday after he turned himself in. Investigators said they learned that the victim and Piria knew one another.
Piria is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. DPD asks anyone that may have information on the case to call Crime Stoppers.

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
