The US Open 2012 Tennis Championships is now on its second week with familiar faces still in the running for the title. Not to be missed is the upcoming match between world number one Roger Federer of Switzerland and American 23rd-seed Mardy Fish. Roger Federer has regained the top ranking after winning his seventh Wimbledon title in July and followed it with a silver-medal finish at the London Olympics and a title win at the Cincinnati Masters. He will be an overwhelming favorite to progress to the quarterfinals but he’s not going to underestimate Fish, who made it in the world’s top ten last year but dropped in the rankings due to a medical leave he had to make earlier this year.
