Well, they are currently in India so can you blame them? They are just taking the ‘Ghana life’ down there.
Kumkum Bhagya is the ish in Ghana now and if a whole second lady went to meet the stars why not so-called U-17 players.
India newspapers are reporting that the players of the Ghana Black Starlets, currently in the country participating in the world cup, have expressed interest in meeting the stars of the popular soap opera.
The players reportedly want to meet ‘Pragya’ and ‘Abhi’ and all the other stars of the show.
“We want to meet and take photos with some of the actors, and even the producer, anyone will do,” Indian media outlet The Express quotes Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, as saying.
“We don’t mind even if it is for five minutes”.
Kumkum Bhagya, as we know, has taken over the airwaves in Ghana, even pissing off local filmmakers.
Now they know in India our obsessed we are with the show, with several papers amusingly reporting the story and dissecting how the show has taken over Ghanaian culture.

It’s also reported that, in the last two years, the show has become so famous among the Ghanaians that they’ve actually started believing Abhi and Pragya can fluently speak Twi.
Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, who is also a Member of Parliament in Ghana, reportedly showed a video on his phone which was viral in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
In the video, an old woman is standing in front of her TV, shouting at one of the characters in Kumkum Bhagya.
“In the scene, two characters are fooling Abhi, the rockstar. So the lady is shouting at Abhi to not believe them. People have become so engrossed in the show that there is a special analysis show now, sometimes with celebrities participating, which happens after each episode. Just like a post-match show for a football match,” said Agyemang.

The Black Starlets are currently in the quarter finals of the World Cup, where they are slated to take on Mali on Saturday.
