Jihad Chaabn, the Lebanese Mawarko supervisor who allegedly dipped the face of a Ghanaian employee in hot pepper for messing with a blender has been charged with assault.

Chaabn was arraigned at the Abeka Magistrate Court Tuesday and charged for the February 26 incident.

However, the case has been adjourned till Wednesday due to the absence of the trial judge in court today.

Chaabn allegedly rubbed one Evelyn Boakye’s face in pepper for several minutes whilst screaming abusive words at her after he thought she was destroying a blender belonging to the Abelenkpe branch of the restaurant.

Evelyn reported the case to police after and Chaabn was arrested and granted bail. He penned a letter of apology to her but Boakye has refused to accept it.

Marwako, which belongs to Chaabn’s brother-in-law, has suspended him in the meantime whilst the police case continues.
