Morehead State Advances in the CBI

(St. Louis, MO) – Morehead State is still playing postseason basketball. With Northern Iowa, Wichita State and UT Martin all dropping out of March basketball this weekend, the Eagles are the only team in our two leagues still alive. (Tennessee Tech plays in the ‘2016 Vegas 16′ later in the month). Their quarterfinal win in the College Basketball Invitational means the Ohio Valley Conference has sent a least one team to the semifinals of a post season tournament for the second straight year.

The Eagles ran their home record to 13 and 2 with an 82 to 72 win over the A-10’s Duquesne Monday night. Morehead, (21-12) picked up double figure scoring from four players, led by Brent Arrington’s 17. They handed out 18 assists, led by Corban Collins’ six helpers. Collins was a second team all-OVC performer this year.

Former Drake Bulldog, Micah Mason led Duquesne’s Bobcats with 24 points, finishing his collegiate career with over 1,200 points in his three year stint with Duquesne. In Sean Woods’ four years with the Eagles they are 73-61 and have been a part of the CBI in two of the last three years.

Missouri Valley Conference teams (Wichita State and Northern Iowa) went three and two in this offseason. Ohio Valley Conference teams (Austin Peay, Belmont, Tennessee State, UT Martin and Morehead State) are three and four so far.

The basic political campaign slogan today. "I am always right & if you don't vote for me, 'Farmer Jones' will come back. You're better off than when 'Farmer Jones' was in power (even if you're not) & you need to believe that or 'Farmer Jones' will come back. Animal Farm insights
