Supergirl and The Flash will live on as expected, but co-creator Andrew Kreisberg has been cancelled by Warner Bros. following sexual harassment claims.
Deadline reports:
Less than three weeks after Andrew Kreisberg, co-creator/executive producer of the CW’s DC series The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, was suspended from his duties over allegations of sexual harassment, he has been fired by the studio, Warner Bros TV Group, following an investigation into the accusations.
“After a thorough investigation, Warner Bros Television Group has terminated Andrew Kreisberg’s employment, effective immediately,” the company said in a statement. “We remain committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”
Kreisberg had been hands-on involved in The Flash and Supergirl, serving as co-showrunner on both. Following his exit, Berlanti, co-creator/exec producer of the two series, will step in for him, assuming additional responsibilities on both The Flash, where he will work closely with executive producer/co-showrunner Todd Helbing, and Supergirl, where he will work closely with executive producers/co-showrunners Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller.
How will Supergirl and The Flash fare following Kreisberg’s departure? Stay tuned…

It seems to be getting out of hand if you’ll pardon the expression.

are you friggin’ kidding me? Leave these shows alone, they’re too good to cancel, what is wrong with you???
Paul Fagan says
Is WB TV Management on behalf of Hollywood sending the message that if you have been sexually harassed on any show you risk losing your job and everyone else’s jobs will too. Is this payback for reporting sexual harassment? Are Harvey Weinstein’s top management buddies in the TV industry sending a message?
MD says
They didn’t cancel the show they fired the guy doing the harassing!

Hollywood’s getting a well deserved bloody nose. I think when a show gets cancelled under these circumstances, everyone that’s losing out on a paycheque should be suing the guilty party for lost wages. Otherwise it will just be a way for Hollywood to say, if you complain we’ll hurt the bank accounts of everyone!
MD says
They didn’t cancel the show they just fired the one guy, Andrew Kreisburg, who was doing the harrassing!

Poorly worded headline

They didn’t cancel the shows just co-creator Andrew Kreisburg, he was fired for harassment. The shows have been renewed for another season. As Ed says it was a poorly worded headline.
