Sky pundit says Man Utd will lose to Wolves; doesn’t think Solskjaer will last beyond this season

Charlie Nicholas is of the opinion that Manchester United will drop three points in their Premier League fixture against Wolves on Saturday.

Wolves have proved to be a tricky opponent for the Red Devils, drawing 1-1 at the Molineux Stadium in the league this season, although we came out on top of our FA Cup encounter against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men winning 1-0 a few weeks back.

And with both teams standing a chance of making the top-four, there is quite a bit up for grabs ahead of the match.

Nicholas has predicted a 2-1 win for Wolves this weekend.

In his column for Sky Sports, the former Arsenal man wrote: “Manchester United are all over the place, though I applaud Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s personality and the way he handles the mayhem, even if I think he is overprotecting the players.

“Supporters being at war with Ed Woodward is utterly ridiculous but Solskjaer has done well to manage the pressure. I think he will get through to the end of the season — but not beyond, though. United beat Wolves in the FA Cup, but this is a different proposition. I think Nuno’s side will get revenge here.”

We face a very good side this weekend — well organised in defence and they have attacking players who can make a difference. They’ve managed to win both games against Man City in the league so it would be crazy to write them off.

United, on the other hand, could unleash new signing Bruno Fernandes who will know some members of the opposition given the Portuguese influence at Wolves. We go into the game on the back of a brilliant away win against Pep Guardiola’s side and hope to build some momentum in the league before the winter break.

If United do lose on Saturday, it will be our first home defeat to Wolves since February 1980.
