Cappadocia is beautiful at any time of the year but in winter its show-stopping landscapes take on an ethereal quality. In the valleys the rock cones are dusted with an icing sugar coating of snow while honey-stone villages are sandwiched between the rippling white sheets of the mountains. It’s Narnia for grown ups; sans the witch but definitely still with the Turkish delight.
Such beautiful pictures! Cappadocia is definitely going on my ‘to visit’ list. Perhaps you’d also find my travel stories and photos interesting dovastonsdusseldorfdiarys.wordpress.com
gorgeous stuff…… just said wow
Turkey never gets enough credit for being beautiful
It really doesn’t!
Well said! Going to Cappadocia is one of my travel goals.
Wowwww! We visited in summertime, but these photos are unreal. It seems a completely different place and truly like a real life fairy tale!
Lovely! So nice to see that some people travel in the off-season.
Off-season is always fun in big tourist destinations isn’t it: cheaper rooms, folk with more time to talk to you, empty tourist sites. It’s a winner.
Looks fantastic, great photos! I have been wanting to visit Cappadocia for a while, but haven’t even considered visiting in the winter. Do you know if it snows often?
It’s pretty much luck of the draw though you’re more likely to see snow in January than in any other month.
A wonderful daydream of faraway lands whilst I’m sat in my city office block! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Hi! Amazing write about Cappadocia! I have yet to visit that place! Anyways, I’m on the verge on starting my own travel blog. Any tips and advice on how to make it big and attracting readers to read? (:
Wow, this really makes me want to go here! If your interested, I’m actually blogging about my recent experience in Israel. No snow there obviously but ancient cities of a different kind
I went in the winter also and found it weirdly beautiful. A little dead in terms of people, but still really cool.
I’am from turkey 🙂

Unbelievable! I was there in February this year and I could say that it was quite hot there, still breathtaking nonetheless. But this, your pictures, is just amazing!
Thanks. Cappadocia is one of those places that truly does look completely different in every season 🙂
One of my most favourite places! Reading your post brought back a lot of happy memories! I’m starting out my own blog too and I hope my stories are just as engaging as yours. Thanks for the great read!
