Recently, Madison Therapy and Wellness learned they had been nominated for a “Best of Florida” award in the area of physical therapy. The Best of Florida awards are sponsored by guidetoflorida.com. Local physical therapist and owner of Madison Therapy and Wellness, Kristin Searcy, DPT, says she does not know who nominated her, but feels honored by the nomination.
Searcy has had her local practice since September of 2019. She is a Madison County native, having grown up in Lee before attending Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Florida A & M University. “Like most people who go into the healthcare field, I wanted to help people,” said Searcy. “I really wanted to give back to my community by serving my hometown and doing what’s best for my people. I think what I really enjoy most about what we do is developing relationships with our patients. We do become friends with a lot of our patients, they almost become like family.”
Kristin is married to Rob Searcy. They are the proud “parents” of a French Bulldog named “Sammie.”
Voting for the Best of Florida awards continues through the end of August. The results will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 14. To vote for Madison Therapy and Wellness, go to https://guidetoflorida.com/madison/health-medical/madison-therapy-wellness. You may vote once every 24 hours.
