On Sunday, May 8, around 12:22 a.m., units of the Madison Police Department (MPD) responded to a call originating from the Madison Heights apartments, located on Martin Luther King Dr.
The call was in regards to the gathering of a large crowd and possible physical altercations.
According to Madison police reports, when MPD officers arrived, they encountered several intoxicated and unruly subjects.
In an attempt to arrest one of the subjects, who was identified as Deonshay Wells, 21, of Madison, officers were required to request assistance from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) due to Wells actively resisting arrest.
After the arrival of several MCSO officers, the crowd dispersed.
Along with Wells, Demetricia Wilson, 24, of Madison, was arrested with affray and obstruction of justice and Thomas Mobley, 31, also of Madison, was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.
Wells is facing charges of disorderly intoxication, obstruction of justice, resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
