Woke up to a sunny, beautiful day. We mostly lazed and grazed until around 1:00 PM. Last night the Federal Government finally allowed people to go back to work. We had been wanting to see Blanchard Springs Caverns but they had been closed. We decided to go today.
At about 1:00 PM, we got it together and left for Blanchard Springs Caverns, about an hour away. We were so glad we went. What a beautiful place, almost church like. We had the best guide, named Paul. The tour was about an hour and about ¼ mile long. So beautiful all the way through. At the end of the tour we got on a bus and they drove us back to the main building. What fun. The tour was $10.50 each for Lexi and I, and Michael (the old man) got in for $5.50.

Photography in the cavern is really difficult. The photos don’t turn out most of the time. This is called the bacon strip.Dome top at the back of the cavern.

On the way home we saw a huge spider in the road. Hope we don’t find another one while we’re here.
Lex and I saw it and told Edie about it. She insisted we go back so she could photograph it. I told her to get her foot in the picture for perspective.
Michael is now making dinner, smelling good. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
