For many the special number on the Celtic Jersey is the number 7, Jinky, Di Canio and the King of Kings, Henrik Larsson all became heroes wearing that famous number. Those who watch the hoops will know that the number 7 currently remains unused and it has became a more of a hindrance than a help to new players.

Robbie Keane had successful loan period wearing the magical number 7 however in a time period where Celtic cannot afford ‘blue chip’ signings the number 7 will remain unused.

The number 25 jersey has also become a special one in the green side of Glasgow. Fans favourites Lubomir Moravcik and Shunsuke Nakamura starred for the hoops whilst wearing this number. Pressure on the next guy? Well step forward Stefan Johansen.

Stefan is the current custodian of the number 25 jersey and he is a text book Ronny Deila player.

After arriving midway through last season Stefan started his hoops career playing deep in midfield but soon after Ronny arrived he moved further up the pitch.

Stefan is extremely fit and plays a very high, fast and pressing style of football. He has a great work ethic and is a team player.

Stefan has, scored in the last 3 games and is looking like he will grow in stature with the Celtic support and become as much loved as Lubo and Naka. I’m not saying he’s the same type of player or as skilful as these heroes however he has shown enough to convince me that he can become a Celtic great.

Stefan will be important in the quest to win the treble this year and will be required to produce in the up coming games against Inter, his pace and work rate is exactly what we need to win the ball in advanced areas of the pitch allowing us to punish the Italians.

Stefan, keep working hard, keep the goals coming, at 24 years of the world is at your feet.

Hail Hail
