Robert “Bob” Owen Elliott, age 80, of Bretzville, Indiana, passed away at 1:25 p.m., on Friday, March 1, 2024, at his residence.

He was born October 8, 1943, in Jasper, Indiana, to Casper and Constance (Melchior) Elliott; and married Susan Begle on August 15, 2014, in Bretzville, Indiana.  Bob retired as a sales manager in the hardwood lumber industry.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg; was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting; loved playing golf, flower gardening and yard work; and spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three children, Melissa Koch, Tony Elliott and Infant Ryan Elliott; and two siblings, Russell Elliott and Sarah Young.

 Bob is survived by his wife, Susan Lewis of Bretzville; son, Greg (Liz) Elliott of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Sabrina (Jimmy) Williams of Boonville; four step-children, Michael Lewis of Humboldt, Tennessee, Johnny (Laura) Lewis of Austin, Texas, David Lewis of Houston, Texas and Brenda (Doug) Suggitt of Humble, Texas; nine siblings, Margaret Thompson, Charlotte Sawyer, John, Mike, Dan, Kristin and Scott Elliott, Patty Cox and Becky Engelhart; (8) grandchildren, Ashley Flowers, Caitlyn East, Morgan, Luke and Coleman Elliott, Madyson Fieth, Chloe Broeker and Madelyn Koch; (2) great-grandchildren, Carley and Brennan Williams; and (11) step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday,        March 9, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Biju Thomas. 

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail. 

  Friends may call for visitation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday.
