The first stop of the 2017 WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions was held at the St Henry Heinrichsdorf Fest over the weekend.

This past Saturday the father and son team of Steve and Doyle Smith of Crawford County won the double-elimination match in the Pro-Division of the WBDC Cornhole Match.

“Crawford County Boys” moved to the championship round after defeating the “Possum Jct. Boys” in the quarter finals. Steve and Doyle then defeated the team “Sons of Pitches” comprised of Cody Englert and J.D. Underhill in the championship round at St Henry.

Crawford County Boys will now move on to the WBDC Tournament of Champions at the Huntingburg Herbstfest on Saturday, September 23rd.

The tournament also includes an amateur division for all ages at each site. Nine teams were entered into the single-elimination amateur division.

The winners of the St Henry Heinrichsdorf Fest Amateur Division were “Part Timers” comprised of Justion Cline and Ethan Schwoeppe of St Henry.

The next stop of the 2017 WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions will be held this Friday, June 16th, at the Ferdinand Heimatfest.
