Universal Monsters Heading to ‘Fortnite’, Starting With Frankenstein’s Creature

Published

on

Well, since everyone and anyone is joining Fortnite these days, and since it’s October, it was only a matter of time before the classic Universal Monsters started to pop up. Noted Fortnite leaker HYPEX dropped news that The Creature will be the latest addition to Fortnite‘s library of skins.

Fortnite will be rolling out the outfit reveals throughout the month and a Fortnitemare card will flip over to reveal which new item is entering the store next.

It’s all part of the upcoming Fortnitemare event, which features a themed map and a mix of new skins featuring original designs and collaboration with Universal’s monster movies. Alongside The Creature, IGN reports that a skin based on The Mummy is expected later in the month.

Published

Crow Country players have not only received news that the game’s soundtrack composed by Ockeroid is available now for them to purchase or stream, but also that they’ve received a free update to the game that adds a new harder difficulty to complement the Exploration Mode that’s already available to players.

After “many, MANY requests”, the 26-track soundtrack is available over on Ockeroid’s Bandcamp page, offering lossy and lossless versions for you audiophiles.

Meanwhile, another highly requested feature for Crow Country was a new difficulty mode. SFB Games has delivered with the new ‘MURDER OF CROWS’ mode, which is available now as a free update. In this new mode, which you can unlock by completing Hard Mode, resources are more limited, and enemies are more aggressive. To make things even more difficult, you can’t run while seriously hurt. There are also new rank requirements.

In addition to the new difficulty, the devs have also included additional changes:

  • Better full-screen handling
  • Small bugfixes
  • Small typo fixes

In this new horror game inspired by classics from the original PlayStation, the year is 1990 and you are Mara Forest, a young woman determined to understand why the mysterious Edward Crow closed his famed amusement park and how exactly he vanished.

Crow Country is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. And if you haven’t already, check out Aaron’s review.
