Worker Advocate Testifies Before Congress on Need to Defend Employees Against Increasingly Coercive Union Tactics
Testimony: Biden Labor Board undermining rights of workers opposed to union affiliation, censoring speech critical of unions
A review of the roll-call vote of the Card Check Forced Unionism Bill, H.R. 800, shows an almost partisan vote; however, 13 Republicans voted in favor of the scheme:
Mike Ferguson (NJ-07)
Vito Fosella (NY-13)
Pete King (NY-03)
Steve LaTourette (OH-14)
Frank LoBiondo (NJ-02)
Thaddeus McCotter (MI-11)
John McHugh (NY-23)
Tim Murphy (PA-18)
Jim Saxton (NJ-03)
Chris Shays (CT-04)
Christopher Smith (NJ-04)
Jim Walsh (NY-25)
Don Young (AK-AL)
Many of these Republicans have a long history of carrying Big Labor’s water. However, it should be noted that Thad McCotter is a member of the House Republican Leadership.
Two Democrats against it:
Dan Boren (OK-02)
Gene Taylor (MS-04)
