Thrifted! 1940s greetings cards
I haven’t been thrifting for a while – trying to keep a tight hold of the purse strings n’all. But I did happen upon these delightful 1940s greetings cards at my local flea market. I thought a few people I know would appreciate them including moi, so I took them home. My collection of cards have been dwindling of late, so many birthdays in May/June! So, along with some handmade cards, these will be added to my card box. You like?
Beautifully illustrated and full of colour and sentiment – a great thrifty find I think!

These are wunderbar! I’d find it so hard to part with them but imagine receiving one too? I’m sure they will be treasured either way. What a great find!?

They’re lovely! I have a few Christmas card from this era, and I was wondering about colour photocopying them. Then I can keep the original but send out the vintage loveliness to my friends! Is the flea market in Hebden Bridge? Might have to pop along if this is the stuff they have!

It is Emma! The one next to the Trades Club. I do prefer the Wednesday outdoor Market though – more bargains to be had! X
