Rejection Made Way For Great Acceptance: Smriti Irani

Union Minister of Textile Department, Smriti Irani got candid about how her job application at Jet Airways got rejected years back. She applied for cabin crew and was rejected on grounds of ‘lack of a good personality’ after which she took up working at McDonalds.

She is known for her pleasantry and wit, makes way like a ‘boss’ always. From being one of the most loved and popular TV actor to a a Union Minister after fighting two tough electoral battles, she herself represents the glory of her career. She said very few people know that the first job she wanted to take up was that of a cabin crew which she could not make through and she remains grateful to god that rejection there led to another acceptance which needs no words now.

Speaking at an award function which was organized by APAI, Air Passengers Association of India where she joined the celebration as a passenger and told about her story after she presented an award to a Jet Airways Official. She previously headed the Human Resource Development Ministry and after a reshuffling was appointed the Textile Ministry.
