JNU receives Rs. 455 crore funding for construction of new academic buildings, hostels, and research centres

Under the Union ministry of human resources development (MHRD)’s higher education funding agency (HEFA), the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has been granted a total of Rs. 455.02 crore of funds to initiate construction of new academic buildings, hostels, and research centres, among others, the varsity confirmed.

The allotted funds will be used for various projects, said new academic buildings, hostels, and research centres, among others, adding the projects include construction of hotels, “academic complex buildings for the School of Engineering, Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship, trans disciplinary academic research, advanced animal research facility, advanced instrumentation research facility, incubation centre for start-up companies, special centre for e-learning, lecture hall complex and the setting up of an integrated and unified education system.”

For those who could not be admitted to JNU will be benefitted with the special centre for e-learning that will offer online degree programmes.
