As many as 13 staffers test positive for COVID-19 in Delhi L-G’s office

An official spokesperson, on Tuesday, June 2, informed that as many as 13 employees in Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s office, Raj Niwas, have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The first case of the deadly infection came forward when a junior assistant officer from the extended branch of the office contracted the infection from his father. “The first employee who tested positive was asymptomatic and so was coming to work. As a result, others who came in contact with him contracted the infection. But, the situation is under control because none of them are in a serious condition,” the spokesperson said. After this case was detected, all 300 employees of the office were tested, of which 13 turned out to be positive.

However, Mr. Baijal has not been tested because it was found that the L-G had come in no contact with any of the staffers.
