Hypocrite: David Hogg smears Betsey DeVos, then tells Twitter users to ‘not attack each other’ over gun control

Scratch a liberal, find a hypocrite.  As Twitchy reported Monday, gun control activist and media darling David Hogg went to CNN where he was allowed to smear Education Secretary Betsey DeVos as someone who “paid for her position” with no push-back from the network.  He then went to Twitter where he told followers — and critics — to “not attack each other.”

Here’s the tweet put out by CNN, which, Twitchy noted, is “determined to make sure he milks every last drop out of his 15 minutes.”

“‘Betsey DeVos basically paid for her position…I think she’s not the right person for this,’ says Florida shooting survivor David Hogg after WH unveils plan to establish a school safety commission chaired by the US Education Secretary,” CNN tweeted:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

He then said this on Twitter:

“Can we please not debate this as Democrats and Republicans but discuss this as Americans? In the comments if you see someone you dissagree (sic) with do not attack each other talk to one another, this applies to me too. (sic) WE MUST WORK TOGETHER TO SAVE OUR FUTURE.”

Take a careful look at the date and time the tweets went out.  Hogg sent his tweet out almost four hours AFTER CNN sent its message out.

In a nutshell, Hogg — who basically smears everyone with whom he disagrees — tells his followers (worshipers?) to do otherwise.  And he had the gall to include himself in the tweet.

Twitchy noted:

David Hogg is clearly a passionate kid. But passion is no substitute for logic, expertise, or credibility. Not only is Hogg not remotely qualified to be dictating gun policy, but all of his arguments for gun control rest on baseless smears against those with whom he disagrees. And outlets like CNN are just letting him get away with it.

One person told Hogg:

Not only that, he smeared NRA spokewoman Dana Loesch and called Florida lawmakers “child murderers.”  To our knowledge, he hasn’t issued any apologies to anyone.

One person said:

Now there’s an idea…

It actually got old a long time ago.

Quite a few — apparently Hogg supporters — blindly agreed, but one person wrote:

That’s a very real possibility.  As Dave Workman reported earlier Monday, young people are flocking to pro-Second Amendment groups.  One organization, he reported, has seen a 1200 percent increase in traffic over the last three weeks.

Hogg, meanwhile, continues to demagogue the issue, driving people to groups like the National Rifle Association.

Of course, this adoration has to end sometime, and as one person noted, it won’t be pretty when that happens:
