President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has extended his heartfelt commiserations to the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, Oba Sikiru Adetona, and his people on the death on Friday of one of the town’s most illustrious sons, Chief Bayo Kuku.
President Jonathan similarly condoleed members of the Kuku family as well as the Government and people of Ogun State on the passage of the renowned Ogbeni-Oja of Ijebu-Ode.
The President said he shares their grief as they mourn Kuku, a highly respected businessman and philanthropist, who touched many lives positively in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
He believes that Kuku will be long remembered and honoured across the country and beyond as a trail-blazing entrepreneur and administrator whose career highlights included his exemplary leadership role as President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
President Jonathan prayed that Almighty Allah will grant Kuku eternal rest and comfort all who mourn him.
