Pandemonium broke out Wednesday morning at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Plateau State, as gunmen attempted to force their way through the rear gate of the hospital.
Reports reaching the Eagle Online indicates that, one the security men was shot as he tried to prevent the men from gaining access having discovered arms in their car boot.
The security man was said to have died while being treated in the hospital.
However, all the gunmen whose mission could not be ascertained escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, security has been on red alert in Jos, following the incident.
