Kwara United FC have won this year’s Federation Cup, also known as Challenge Cup.
The Harmony Boys defeated ABS Ilorin FC one-nil in the State final decided on Saturday evening in Ilorin.
After a goalless first half, the lone goal was scored in the second half by Bishop.
Both teams will represent the State at the National level.
Speaking after the match, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, who was the Special Guest of Honour, described the performance of the two teams as impressive.
Alhaji Baraje commended the Kwara State Football Association for the successful outing and organisation.
He pledged to support the development of sports in the State and donated N500,000 to the State FA and N100,000 each to Supporters Club of Kwara United and ABS FC.
The match was witnessed by eminent personalities in the State, including the State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Pharmacist Kale Ayo; and the General Manager of Radio Kwara, Alhaji Abdullateef Adedeji.
