Rangers International of Enugu is likely to face early elimination from the continent following their 1-0 win over their Sfaxien of Tunisia counterparts in the first leg Round of 16 Confederation Cup clash at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu.
Ugonna Uzochukuw was the hero for Enugu Rangers as his 87th minute header secured the slim victory for the Flying Antelopes over hard fighting Tunisian side.
The Flying Antelopes missed several scoring chances in the game before Uzochukwu broke the deadlock with few minutes remaining in the game.
The Coach Okey Emordi tutored side, which failed to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League after losing 2-1 to Recreativo Libolo of Angola, must fight hard in Tunisia to maintain their CAF Confederations Cup status.
The second leg is scheduled for between May 31 and June 2 in Tunisia.
