Nigerian Pop Sensation, Wizkid, has won the BET best international act for 2012 alongside Ghanaian Rapperholic, Sarkodie. Wizkid, who is following the trail of previous winners, 2face Idibia and D’banj, has done Nigerians all over the world extremely proud.
This is the second time Wizkid has won an international award amidst the tough competition nominated in the same category. He had won the best African act for MOBO Awards last year, beating out even the Koko master, D’banj. This time around Wizkid along with Sarkodie beat out Nigeria’s own choc boi, Ice Prince, Kenya’s Hip Hop duo, Camp Mulla, South African singer, Lira and Malian rapper, Mokobe.
Wizkid will be touring with Banky W, Skales, Rotimi and other EME stars in their international EME Tour which is scheduled to start on the 4th of July, 2012. They will be touring the US and Canada after a successful UK Tour. Hopefully Wizkid carries his award with him because who wouldn’t want to show off.
