Prayers for the residents of Toowoomba

It was truly shocking to see the reports on television about the flash flooding in Toowoomba. Pastor Mark is a resident of that fair city and has been in the middle of it. Please pray for them, and for all Queenslanders affected by these terrible floods.

Perhaps Schutz i should put here the reply i had from Pastor Mark in response to my email asking how he and his family were going ”
    “Thanks for your concern.
The real disaster is taking place down in the Lockyer Valley as I write – I think you are familiar with this area: Withcott, Gatton, Grantham etc. Not much communication possible but I believe 70+ people are unaccounted for at present and that number is likely to go higher.
As for help, probably best to go through whatever channels are available down there via banks etc, The logistics of doing anything else at the moment are insurmountable. The only option open to the state govt now is to call in the Army, which they have done.
Toowoomba will be OK provided we don’t get another “extreme weather event” like yesterday.
Best thing you could do is pray!
    In Christ,
    Pr Mark “
