MCM London Comic Con has announced a Marvel-lous new guest in the shape of British actor Paul Bettany, best known for playing J.A.R.V.I.S and Vision in the MCU movies.
London-born Bettany voiced Tony Stark’s advanced AI J.A.R.V.I.S in seminal superhero movie Iron Man and its two sequels, as well as Joss Whedon blockbuster The Avengers and its 2015 follow-up, Age of Ultron.
Avengers: Age of Ultron also saw Bettany make his debut as synthetic superhero Vision, a role he has since reprised in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and this year’s smash hit Avengers: Infinity War.
Paul Bettany also recently appeared in another iconic franchise, playing central antagonist Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story – the ruthless, luxury-loving crime lord who serves as the public face of the Crimson Dawn syndicate.
Since his breakout roles as Geoffrey Chaucer in A Knight’s Tale and the titular mobster of Brit crime drama Gangster No 1, Bettany has appeared in a host of big screen productions, with credits including Master and Commander, A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code and last year’s Journey’s End. Meanwhile, Bettany’s TV roles include starring as Ted Kaczynski in 2017 Discovery miniseries Manhunt: Unabomber, currently available on Netflix.
MCM London comes to town on 26-28 October 2018. Tickets are available here.
