It’s the time of year where we begin preparing for our Certificated Sparks retreat!

March 24-26, 2016 at Breakers Resort in Long Beach, WA

SPARKS is an interactive opportunity for newer members to connect with other new educators in Southwest Washington region. SPARKS can help you take charge of your profession and future, and develop your relationship with your union. SPARKS allows you the opportunity to discuss and learn more about issues that concern new educators. SPARKS is designed to “spark” your interest and develop skills to use in the classroom, at school, and in each respective education association. A variety of topics are covered, such as TPEP, planning your financial future, and how to deal with challenges and the things “they didn’t teach in college”.

We are looking for 5-7 people from our Hockinson School District with seven or fewer years of experience, who would like to benefit from this valuable retreat.

Many people have attended the Sparks retreat in previous years and LOVED the time away to recharge as well as the opportunity to meet and collaborate with new educators from the surrounding districts.
