SAP Opens Services Center In Portugal

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

SAP is opening a services center in Oeiras, Portugal, focused on delivering IT consulting and implementation services to SAP customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Portuguese Minister of the Economy and Employment, Álvaro Santos Pereira inaugurated the new facility, which will create up to 100 new professional and graduate jobs in 2012. SAP’s planned investment of EUR17 million over the next three years will also include an expansion of up to 300 IT consultants by the end of 2014.

The services center provides off-site support for projects from consultants working in a culture or time zone close to the customer. This model helps to lower costs associated with onsite staffing and deliver value faster to customers, says SAP.
