There is a wildlife corridor in Elsmere Canyon, which is very close to where it sounds like this mountain lion was hit.

Maybe the person couldn’t get out of the way Nonie Weiser Pherson, I mean do you really think the person did it just to hit and kill the mountain lion and have damage to their car. Yes they are beautiful lions, but think for a minute your going a certain speed and a animal dodges in front of your car what would you do if you couldn’t stop or swerve from hitting another car or getting hit from another car from behind? What would you do? Yes that’s their area of living but sometimes you don’t have a choice, think of how that person feels about killing a animal, probably scared and upset.

Last night as it was pouring rain i had coyotes looking into my back yard for ahelter from ontop of the wash . I was talking to it and the poor coyote looks absoutly sad . no where to go

Sad … But… it’s part of the circle of life. I have to wonder how many pets that cat killed before it met his maker. And even if they weren’t pets, they were animals just the same.
Uh they can’t buy their food at the supermarket so….

What a coincidence, I was just talking to my mom about the “wildlife corridors” and the mountain lion that was recently struck in Castaic. It’s tragic, and I’m all for the corridors, but let’s remember that human life is more important than animal life. And I’m a total animal lover…I have 2 cats (indoors so they don’t get killed), two dogs, and a bunch of fish…so save the trolling and insults ??
