Earlier this week industry magazine Encore announced its first ever Encore Awards.

The Awards recognise the work of a company rather than a specific project or individual, looking at its performance, slate and engagement with the industry.

This year’s winners are:
Television Network of the Year: Seven Network
Production Company of the Year: (Television) Southern Star Entertainment
Production Company of the Year: (Film) Omnilab Media
Production Company of the Year: (Cross-Platform) The Project Factory
Service Company of the Year: Rising Sun Pictures
Distributor of the Year: Madman Entertainment

  1. When I saw the headline I thought it was an award thing for the network with the most “encore”s – as in reruns, repeats, classic episodes, catchup, etc. I guess Nine and “The Nanny” should score highly. Nine to TEN to Nine to GO! to GEM, over and over and over.
