It’s still a month away but at long last, the third season of Big Love is heading back to telly. It’s been such a long time since we checked in with the Utah’s Mormon family that a fourth season is about to get underway in the US.
In the third season, polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) attempts to create some much-needed financial security by expanding from Henrickson Home Plus into Weber Gaming. And as he continues to try and extricate himself from family and business ties to the Juniper Creek compound, he discovers that the prophet Roman Grant (Harry Dean Stanton) is difficult to elude.
The power struggles between first wife Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), second wife Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) and third wife Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) continue – especially regarding the possibility of adding a fourth.
It returns to SBS ONE on Tuesday, 12 January at 8.30pm.

Excellent!!
About bloody time!
Oh my gosh – F i n a l l y!! Having rung SBS twice in past 6 months – with speculation it would be back on our screen sometime in 2010 –
Finally we have a start date.
My thoughts also, glad to have it back, looking forward to it
Finally is right. It has been so long since I’ve seen an episode of this.
Come on SBS – pick up the slack!
You’re falling too far behind in Big Love and Mad Men.
Why are we still a season behind on this? In the US season four actually starts two days before we’re getting season three!
Finally!!!!!!!!!
