I love Media Watch with Paul Barry. But I must say that Media Bites with Paul Barry is akin to Lee Lin Chin doing those bizarre comedy routines for Eurovision et al at SBS. Stick to your day jobs people. News and Comedy are very different things (unless handled by experts).
Agree this goes over the top sometimes and gets a bit Dad jokes. Should feel natural not forced.
I wonder if the combination of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon might have had an impact against MKR rather than that tired old chestnut, The Voice. I’m slightly annoyed at Nine for once again bumping TBBT and YS. Those decision types must think the internet hasn’t been invented yet.
Only a 15 minute program though-bit hard to compare with an hour or even half hour show-‘Media Watch’ also gets a number of repeats during the week on 2 as well.
Yes and people will tune in for 15 minutes and then tune out……just look at approx 200K drop going into Q&A.
I tune in for Media Watch and then switch off for Q &A, because very rarely is Q & A worth watching
Ten should bring back HYBPA quick smart would do a lot better than 309,000 and Bachelor in Paradise would provide both a good lead in and some good content.
It will be back soon, unclear if it will remain Mondays.
Who is the target demographic for The Mentor? It’s not me, obviously, but who do we think this is trying to appeal to?
Presumably middle Australia is to identify with the battlers / underdogs getting business tips. My view is that prdn values aren’t high-end enough or format strong enough for primetime as yet, but it works as grassroots telly.
Gave TM a go but found it pretty boring.
Just didn’t hold my attention.
Probably wouldn’t watch again.
I like the concept of the show, but didn’t watch it because I don’t like the host.
Having my boss involved in business mentoring and knowing a bit about it myself, The Mentor was a very dumbed down version of what goes on obviously made for commercial FTA TV. Those into business aren’t going to be attracted to the show while most of the general TV audience will not relate to it.
It is a bit odd that he brings in experts in the field, such as real estate, last night. Doesn’t that make them the mentor?
Thought I had nodded off and woke up on Sunday morning, in the middle of “Kochie’s Business Builders”.
Yes I did think a weekend arvo leading into news might be better fit, but Seven has footy.
Oh a movie from 1990. I misread the opening line and thought you’d said the 1,990th repeat of a movie…..
Hahahaha easy mistake to make…
That would be The Devil Wears Prada.
Media watch deserves to be number 1.great show. Ive been watching it for many years.remember it was them that uncovered the cash for comment scandal with Laws and Jones. Ive found them to be a very honest show. They constantly criticize their own ABC shows as well
I miss Jonathan.
